Titans
In Greek mythology, the Titans (Ancient Greek: οἱ Τῑτᾶνες, hoi Tītânes, singular: ὁ Τῑτᾱ́ν, -ήν, ho Tītân) were the pre-Olympian gods. According to the Theogony of Hesiod, they were the twelve children of the primordial parents Uranus (Sky) and Gaia (Earth), with six male Titans—Oceanus, Coeus, Crius, Hyperion, Iapetus, and Cronus—and six female Titans, called the Titanides or "Titanesses" (αἱ Τῑτᾱνῐ́δες, hai Tītānídes)—Theia, Rhea, Themis, Mnemosyne, Phoebe, and Tethys. Cronus mated with his older sister Rhea, who then bore the first generation of Olympians: the six siblings Zeus, Hades, Poseidon, Hestia, Demeter, and Hera. Certain descendants of the Titans, such as Prometheus, Helios, and Leto, are sometimes also called Titans. The Titans were the former gods: the generation of gods preceding the Olympians. They were overthrown as part of the Greek succession myth, which tells how Cronus seized power from his father Uranus and ruled the cosmos with his fellow Titans before being in turn defeated and replaced as the ruling pantheon of gods by Zeus and the Olympians in a ten-year war called "the Titanomachy" (ἡ Τῑτᾱνομᾰχῐ́ᾱ Τῑτᾱνομαχίᾱ hē Tītānomakhíā). As a result of this war, the vanquished Titans were banished from the upper world and held imprisoned under guard in Tartarus, although apparently some Titans were allowed to remain free.

Titans
Titans is an American prime time soap opera that debuted on October 4, 2000 on NBC. Thirteen episodes were filmed, of which eleven were actually aired. Produced by Aaron Spelling, the series was initially marketed as a "Dynasty for the new millennium," attempting to emulate the style of Spelling's earlier hit series. However, low ratings led NBC to cancel the series before its first season was completed.
The Nuttall Encyclopedia
Titans
in the Greek mythology sons of Uranos and Gaia, beings of gigantic strength, and of the dynasty prior to that of Zeus, who made war on Zeus, and hoped to scale heaven by piling mountain on mountain, but were overpowered by the thunderbolts of Zeus, and consigned to a limbo below the lowest depths of Tartarus; they represent the primitive powers of nature, as with seeming reluctance submissive to the world-order established by Zeus, and symbolise the vain efforts of mere strength to subvert the ordinance of heaven; they are not to be confounded with the Giants, nor with their offspring, who had learned wisdom from the failure of their fathers, and who, Prometheus one of them, represented the idea that the world was made for man and not man for the world, and that all the powers of it, from highest to lowest, were there for his behoof.

Examples of Titans in a Sentence
Detroit Mercy was led byAntoine Davis, who scored 24 points on 10-of-26 shooting while playing for his father, the former Indiana coach. St. Bonaventure transfer Matt Johnson scored a career-high 20 points, Idaho transfer Marquell Fraser had 11 points and 12 rebounds and California Baptist transfer Bud Kuol fouled out after scoring 12 points for the Titans. For much of the game, Detroit Mercy gave the Spartans all they could handle at both ends of the court and on the boards. They did what they wanted to almost and we have to learn from that.
Detroit Mercys last win over a Top 10 team on the road was in 1979 at Marquette when the Titans had future NBA players, including Earl Cureton and the late Terry Duerod. Gabe Brown scored 16 points and Joey Hauser added 10 points for the Spartans, who leaned on Watts in the second half as he scored 12 points and had all four of his assists without a turnover. He was dynamite, scoring and getting guys open shots.
During my time in Tennessee, Tennessee Titans went through a lot of different things. I went through coaching changes, went through a broken ankle, some of these things that people would call adversity, at that point in time in my career in 2019, I was tired. I was just kind of tired of all the turnover, was tired of being beat up, and I was n’t playing well, and at the end of the day, this is a performance-based business, and when you’re not playing well, things happen, and I understood that. There seems to be something of an emerging understanding ... that the government will help the titans of the economy to maintain the liquidity they need to stay in business, in return for that, they remain quiet, they remain loyal, but they also maintain employment and they keep moving money through the economy.
Because Titan is the only moon in our solar system with a substantial atmosphere, scientists have wondered for a long time what its source was, the main theory has been that ammonia ice from comets was converted, by impacts or photochemistry, into nitrogen to form Titans atmosphere. While that may still be an important process, it neglects the effects of what we now know is a very substantial portion of comets: complex organic material.
