  1. Thrones

The Thrones are a class of celestial beings mentioned by Paul the Apostle in Colossians 1:16 and related to the Throne of God. They are living symbols of God's justice and authority. According to the New Testament, these high celestial beings are among those Orders at the Christ's service. The Thrones are mentioned again in Revelation 11:16. According to Matthew Bunson, the corresponding order of angels in Judaism is called the "abalim" or "arelim"/"erelim", but this opinion is far from unrivaled. The Hebrew word Erelim is usually not translated 'Thrones', but rather 'valiant ones', 'heroes', 'warriors'. The function ascribed to Erelim in Is. 33.7 and in Jewish folklore is not consonant with the lore surrounding the Thrones. The Ophanim is a class of higher liberated celestial beings, under many Christian angelic hierarchies, that are also known as the "Thrones", from Daniel 7:9. They are the carriers of the Throne of God, hence the name. They are said to be great wheels covered in eyes.

Examples of Thrones in a Sentence

  1. Alexander Siddig:

Everybody is paranoid about some leak on Facebook or Instagram or YouTube… I think the secrecy is kind of understandable, but also there is an element of hype about it that makes it… the more secretive it is, the more special it is. And certainly ‘Game of Thrones’ plays that. They misinform the crowd and they give them tidbits to send them in wrong directions.

  2. Roger Lawson:

I'd much rather sit around naked and eat ice cream and watch Game of Thrones.

  3. Casey Bloys:

The' Game of Thrones' universe is so rich with stories, we look forward to exploring the origins of House Targaryen and the earlier days of Westeros along with Miguel Sapochnik, Ryan and George.

  4. Producer Bryan Cogman:

This is 'Game of Thrones,' this is a hardened woman making a choice and she sees this as the way to get back her homeland. Sansa has a wedding night in the sense she never thought she would with one of the monsters of the show. It's pretty intense and awful and the character will have to deal with it.

  5. Maisie Williams:

The transition from Game of Thrones where I'm a small piece in a big puzzle, to something where you're taking the lead was very nerve-wracking, the role I play in 'The Falling,' Lydia, was a character that I wanted to show other people that I could do. I had to leave it at home, the nerves of carrying the film, and actually prove to people that I have more confidence in it.
