A male given name from Ancient Greek.
Of Messaline: Sebastian was my father; / Such a Sebastian was my brother too, / So went he suited to his watery tomb.
Etymology: From Latin Sebastianus, name of an early and possibly legendary Christian saint, from ancient city of Sebaste in Asia Minor (modern Sivas, Turkey), from Ancient Greek Σεβαστός (Sebastós, " august, venerable, exalted"), itself a translation of the Roman title Augustus.
Saint Sebastian (in Latin: Sebastianus; Narbo, Gallia Narbonensis, Roman Empire c. AD 255 – Rome, Italia, Roman Empire c. AD 288) was an early Christian saint and martyr. According to traditional belief, he was killed during the Diocletianic Persecution of Christians. He was initially tied to a post or tree and shot with arrows, though this did not kill him. He was, according to tradition, rescued and healed by Saint Irene of Rome, which became a popular subject in 17th-century painting. In all versions of the story, shortly after his recovery he went to Diocletian to warn him about his sins, and as a result was clubbed to death. He is venerated in the Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church. The oldest record of the details of Sebastian's martyrdom is found in the Chronograph of 354, which mentions him as a martyr, venerated on January 20. He is also mentioned in a sermon on Psalm 118 by 4th-century bishop Ambrose of Milan (Saint Ambrose): in his sermon, Ambrose stated that Sebastian came from Milan and that he was already venerated there at that time. The full account of his martyrdom comes from the Passio Sancti Sebastiani, a 5th-century text written by an anonymous author, possibly Arnobius the Younger. Saint Sebastian is a popular male saint, especially today among athletes. In medieval times, he was regarded as a saint with a special ability to intercede to protect from plague, and devotion to him greatly increased when plague was active.

If Sebastian Vettel was pushed, for me it's madness, sebastian Vettel showed Sebastian Vettel speed last year. Sebastian Vettel had a tough moment in the season when Charles Leclerc was performing really well and that hurt Charles Leclerc a bit mentally. But Sebastian Vettel came back strong... Sebastian Vettel's somebody you'd definitely choose to put in your car if you had an F1 team.
The Scuderia has a great tradition in this sport and I am extremely motivated to help the team get back to the top. I will put Sebastian Vettel heart and soul into making The Scuderia happen.
Red Bull in 2014's going to be a big year for Sebastian, I think. When Daniel Ricciardo came into Red Bull Daniel Ricciardo found Red Bull difficult, daniel Ricciardo put Daniel Ricciardo under a lot of pressure and actually outperformed Daniel Ricciardo. I think if Charles can do that this year it's a tough decision of where Sebastian is going to go for the future and what he's going to do.
We're thrilled to have the incredibly talented Sebastian Maniscalco as this year's VMA host, sebastian is on FIRE right now and his comedic spin on relatable topics will make this year's show truly unforgettable.
I think that Sebastian needs to go back to school because he needs to calm him self down.
