redbird
A redbird is a type of bird known for its striking red coloration. The term is commonly used to refer to several species, such as the Northern Cardinal and Summer Tanager, that belong to cardinal families and are native to North America. Although the entirety of the bird may not be red, it is still called a redbird due to the prominence of red on its body, which makes it easily noticeable. The same term can also be used colloquially to refer to the St. Louis Cardinals, a professional baseball team in the United States.
