    Olds is a town in central Alberta, Canada within Mountain View County. It is located 61 km south of Red Deer, the nearest city, and 90 kilometres north of Calgary. The nearest towns are Didsbury to the south and Bowden to the north. The town is located at the intersection of Highway 27 and Highway 2A, 5 km west of the Queen Elizabeth II Highway. The Canadian Pacific Railway's main Edmonton-Calgary line runs through the town. Olds is home to a big box retail development that opened in 2008. It features a Wal-Mart, Canadian Tire and other major retailers. Olds is also home to Olds College, which is noted for its agricultural and fashion retail programs.
