    Marthy Marky Jane is a fictional character in Damon Runyon's story Little Miss Marker, who also appears in two film adaptations of the story. Marky is a little girl whose father places her as the collateral for a gambling bet (a marker). When the father commits suicide after losing the bet, Marky is left in the care of gangsters who run the gambling operation.
