It is commonly given as a male given name, particularly among Shias. In Persian language contexts, the transliterations Ḥosayn, Hosayn, or Hossein are sometimes used. The spirit of listening and understanding was not there – I don’t exclude Saddam Hussein from this blame.
Look, obviously a lot of years to reflect on. Definitely, from my perspective from Iraq, from Baghdad, and I would daresay that reflecting the view of the majority of Iraqis, the decision to take on Saddam Hussein and remove him from power was the right decision; it was the moral decision. The world is a better place without Saddam Hussein. He was a war criminal. He was engaged in crimes against humanity, genocide, you name it. But no doubt: a lot of problems in the transition.
The issue of Taha (Hussein) left a big scar on Bashir.
Israeli Transport Minister Yisrael Katz:
The thing is, this (Ramon) is a big international airport, representing a mass of tourists, which is seen as possibly competing with them in tourism and such things, we will propose to them that large planes that can't land there (King Hussein) will land here. I have no problem with people going to Aqaba from there (Ramon). They can cross at Arava crossing.
It doesn’t bring me joy that this is how it ended for Fidel, here’s a beast who should have gone to trial for crimes against humanity, who should have gone to jail, or been executed like Saddam Hussein. Instead, he lived a full 90 years, a lot of it in comfort. He died in his home, he never paid the consequences for all the harm he did to so many people, to an entire country.
