    Forsyth is a city in Monroe County, Georgia, United States. The population was 3,776 at the 2000 census. This number was corrected to read 4,300. The city is the county seat of Monroe County. Forsyth is part of the Macon Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is the former home of Tift College.
