   Dushyant (born at Kesarisinghpur, near the Indian–Pakistani border) is a widely published Hindi Fiction Writer, Poet, Lyricist and Screen Writer. His first collection of poems (2005) received an award from the Rajasthani Akademi, and his recent collection of poems, Prem Ka Anya (2011), received the Ramkumar Ojha Award. Dushyant was the founder and editor of the literary magazine Shabdkram. His first collection of short stories, July Ki Ek Raat, was published in June 2013 by Penguin. His latest book is a novel 'Via Gurgaon', to be released by Juggernaut Books by the end of 2017. Dushyant has been invited to literature festivals like Youth Literary Festival of Sahitya Akademi( National Academy of Letters, INDIA) the Jaipur Literature Festival and Kritya International Poetry Festival. .He did BA(Hons) in History, studied Philosophy too. Then, He mastered in Modern Indian History, followed by qualifying UGC-NET, JRF. Which resulted into a DOCTORATE in History. His area of specialization was Feminism/ Gender Studies. His doctoral dissertation (in History) entitled Striyan: Parde se Prajatantra tak, was published in 2012 by Rajkamal Prakashan, Delhi. He has spent few days at FTII, Pune to understand the medium of Cinema. He joined the newspaper 'Daily News' of Rajasthan Ptrika Group in 2007 after joining and leaving many jobs and subsequently became the head of the Sunday special of the newspaper, that prolonged for almost a decade. He wrote a song for MTV's show Sound Trippin, which was composed by 'Gangs of Wassepur' fame music director Sneha Khanwalkar. It was telecasted in the 5th episode of second season. and received as one of the most loved song of the season. His first Bollywood film as a lyricist ( With French Music Director Mathias Duplessy ) is 'Laal Rang' Directed by Syed Ahmad Afzal, Starring Randeep Hooda, Meenakshi Dixit, Akshay Oberoi, Pia Bajpayi, its desi haryanvi romantic song 'Bawli Booch' has become a huge hit to bring him the glory of a sensible as well as popular lyricist. He has written lyrics for Sudipto Sen Directed and Subrat Dutta, Elena Kazan starrer 'AASMA' and Sudeep Ranjan Sarkar Directed 'Paradiso' which was premiered at Cannes Film Festival 2017 and it has received numerous awards at prestigious film festivals around the globe. Dr.Dushyant has penned a song for anti 'triple talaq' campaign, which got hugely viral and shared on social media National Award Winner Film Director Sriram Dalton has just finished the shoot of a full-length feature film (tentatively titled as 'Balema') scripted by Dushyant. His translation of Odia poems by Sahitya Akademi award winner Odiya Poetess Monalisa Jena, is under publication from Raza Foundation, Delhi, expected to be released by January, 2018. He lives in Mumbai where he is working on some international and Bollywood projects along his first passion of literary writing.
