  • Great service. I look forward to your site each day. CANDOR is a word whose definition should apply to more people and it does to me. The attitude of CANDOR, candidness, frankness, directness, forthrightness may be the opposite of political correctness which, I/M/O, is massively responsible for many of the time wasting, dangerous and dishonest acts of people. I believe we should call it as we see it. Too many good words have been highjacked from their true original meaning and used to dress up and mislead. GAY for example ('not that there is anything wrong with that. Oh, of course not.') at one time indicated happy and joyous for a wide census of the population, people were naming their girl children, Gay. That expression has come to mean something totally different and I venture not many people are named Gay Sarah xxxxxxxx. I prefer to be CANDID rather than misleading. Thanks for all that you do to save and preserve the proper use of the English language.
