wigwam
A wigwam is a type of dwelling historically used by several Native American and First Nations tribes from the North-Eastern regions of North America. It is typically a dome-shaped structure made from wooden frames, which are covered with woven mats or bark. Wigwams were designed to be easily set up and dismantled for tribes with more nomadic lifestyle, but could also be more permanent homes for sedentary tribes.

WigWam are a duo comprising Alex James, the bassist from Blur and vocalist Betty Boo. With record producer Ben Hillier, and former Boo collaborators Beatmasters, WigWam were said to be creating an album which they described as "experimental yet accessible 21st century pop". However, James did not mention the project in his 2007 autobiography, and it is considered defunct. The debut single "WigWam" was released on 3 April 2006 on 2 CD formats. The music video to the single was filmed in Soho, London and was directed by Dom Joly.

wigwam
(sometimes written weekwam). An Indian cabin or hut. The wigwam, or Indian house, of a circular or oval shape, was made of bark or mats laid over a framework of branches of trees stuck in the ground in such a manner as to converge at the top, where was a central aperture for the escape of smoke from the fire beneath. The better sort had also a lining of mats. For entrance and egress two low openings were left on opposite sides, one or the other of which was closed with bark or mats, according to the direction of the wind.
