    Stapleton is a village and civil parish in the Richmondshire district of North Yorkshire, England. It is close to the River Tees and Darlington.

    Stapleton is a Staten Island, New York City neighborhood. The Stapleton Houses, a housing project sponsored by the State of New York, opened in 1962. At eight stories high, its buildings are the tallest to be found within any such project on the island. It is the largest New York City Housing Authority project on Staten Island. The Staten Island Rapid Transit (SIRT) railway has a stop in Stapleton. The neighborhood is also the home of Bertha A. Dreyfus Intermediate School 49 which sits across the street from the Stapleton Houses. Famous former residents of Stapleton include Ghostface Killah, RZA, and Tristan Wilds (actor on The Wire).
