I recently bought a house located on Penobscot drive, in Soddy Daisy Tenneessee 37379. It runs along the banks of Lake Chicamaga on the Tenneessee River. I have researched the Penobscot name and found the meaning to be "where the rocks open" and it is closely related to the Penobscot Indians from Maine, Can anyone tell me how a road in Soddy Daisy TN could have gotten the name Penobscot?
