Wikipedia

  1. Oldies

Oldies is a term for musical genres such as pop music, rock and roll, doo-wop, surf music (broadly characterized as classic rock and pop rock) from the second half of the 20th century, specifically from around the mid-1950s to the 1980s, as well as for a radio format playing this music. After 2000, 1970s music was increasingly included. "Classic hits" has been seen as a successor to the oldies format on the radio, with music from the 1980s serving as the core format.

Wikidata

  1. Oldies

Oldies is a radio format that concentrates on music from a period of about 15 to 55 years before the present day. In the 1980s and 1990s, "oldies" meant the 15 years from the birth of rock n roll to the beginning of the singer-songwriter era of the early 1970s, or about 1955 to 1972, although this varied and some stations chose 1950-1969. After 2000, 1970s music was increasingly included, and early 1980s music is beginning to also be called "oldies", though the term "classic hits" is used to distinguish the "new" oldies from the "old" oldies.

According to Simmons, he's been keeping in shape despite concern that he might need another knee replacement. In response to speculation he has avoided going out because he has gained weight, Simmons said, I still weigh 150. I work out every day. I have a gym at the house, and I am very healthy. Simmons was last photographed in January 2014 by TMZ. In November 2014, reports of Simmons' knee injury surfaced. Simmons took to Facebook then to thank his fans for their outpouring of love and concern.
