monkey bridge
A monkey bridge is a narrow, simple type of pedestrian bridge that usually consists of one or two ropes or bamboo poles for the deck and handrails, typically found in rural parts of Asia, particularly in Vietnam and Philippines. It often requires an individual to maintain balance while crossing. The name is believed to be derived from the way one has to move, which is similar to the movement of monkeys, while using the bridge.
