    The Pomo people that descended from Southern India to Manicaland Province of Zimbabwe

    A few centuries ago, the Kashaya left India and travelled to Southern Africa and settled in Manicaland province. They blended with Shona people and learned the Shona language. Most of the Kashaya are largely found in Mutare, Zimbabwe and in recent years have spread throughout the country. In South Africa, also they are found in all continents of the world at a statistical minority. They developed their wealth through various farming business and handcrafts.
