    本物の is genuine in Japanese, not ingenuine. 本 (ほん) 物 (もの), honmono's meaning is "the real thing." I suggest using 偽物 nise-mono. 本物 honmono (the real thing) and 偽物 nisemono (a fake) are opposites, like genuine and ingenuine. Ingenuity is the ability to think or to do "outside the box" (the box being what's already accepted).
