Wikipedia
Helipad
A helipad is a landing area or platform for helicopters and powered lift aircraft. While helicopters and powered lift aircraft are able to operate on a variety of relatively flat surfaces, a fabricated helipad provides a clearly marked hard surface away from obstacles where such aircraft can land safely. Larger helipads, intended for use by helicopters and other vertical take-off and landing aircraft (VTOL), may be called vertiports. An example is Vertiport Chicago, which opened in 2015.

Examples of helipad in a Sentence
We've launched yachts in the last few years that have multiple pools, helipads, a squash court. There are few things now a yacht can't have, whereas a jacuzzi was a luxury in the early 2000s, now if you've got just one, it's rather frowned upon. You need to have a few and you need to have an infinity plunge pool that doubles as a helipad.
The helicopter came very close to the helipad, maybe 250 meters in the air, just above the school, it hovered there for a while and then tried to turn when it crashed. Thankfully there were no kids in the school because it was an off-day for security reasons. The helicopter caught fire and was on fire for over an hour.
