1. harvey, sir george a Scotch artist, born at St. Ninians, Stirling; was one of the original associates of the RoyalScottish Academy, of which he at length became president; among his paintings are the "Covenanters' Preaching," "The Curlers," and "John Bunyan in Jail" (1805-1880).
