half nelson
A half nelson is a wrestling hold in which one arm is passed under the opponent's arm from behind and the hand is applied to the neck. It is used primarily as a method to control and restrict the actions of the opponent, potentially leading to a pin. It's known as "half" due to only one hand being used, compared to a "full nelson" where both arms are used in a similar hold.
