Sending 1-way, SMS text alerts to smartphones does not make sense.To provide the best real-time information, the ELERTS server aggregates emergency and disaster data from official government sources, crowdsourcing and social networks. Our smartphone apps provide information-rich emergency alerts, with photos, audio, geo-notification, mapping and evacuation routes. Most importantly, ELERTS is a participatory platform that encourages sharing information. Citizens who witness a crisis can report important details to help first responders and others to mitigate the emergency.Better communication saves lives in a crisis. Working closely with first responders, ELERTS intends to redefine the mobile emergency notification market.
