Wikipedia
Bridget
Bridget is an Irish female name derived from the Gaelic noun brígh, meaning "power, strength, vigor, virtue". An alternate meaning of the name is "exalted one". Its popularity, especially in Ireland, is largely related to the popularity of Saint Brigid of Kildare, who was so popular in Ireland she was known as "Mary of the Gael". This saint took on many of the characteristics of the early Celtic goddess Brigid, who was the goddess of agriculture and healing and possibly also of poetry and fire. One of her epithets was "Brigid of the Holy Fire". In German and Scandinavian countries, the popularity of the name spread due to Saint Bridget of Sweden. In the Irish language, the name is spelled Brighid or Bríd and is pronounced "breed" or "breej". In the Scottish Gaelic language, the name is spelled Brìghde and is pronounced "breej-eh" At one time the name was so popular for Irish girls that Bridey was used as a slang term for an Irish girl in English-speaking countries. Some Irish servant girls were called Biddie or Biddy by their employers even if that wasn't their real first name. It has been steadily used in the United States throughout the 20th and 21st centuries, though never among the top 100 most popular names for girls. It was most popular in the 1970s, when it ranked as the 153rd most popular name for girls born in that decade in the United States. It was ranked as the 367th most common name for girls and women in the United States in the 1990 census.

Bridget
Bridget is a fictional character in Arc System Works's Guilty Gear video game series. Bridget first appeared in the 2002 video game Guilty Gear X2. In the series, the androgynous character was born in a village where the birth of same-gender twins is considered bad luck; therefore, his family named and raised him as a girl. When Bridget grows up, he decides to prove himself as a bounty hunter. Bridget was created as "a cute character" by Daisuke Ishiwatari, who wanted to vary the games' cast. Due to the character's appearance, he was initially described as female by video game sources. When they became aware of his biological gender, reviewers included Bridget on lists of best androgynous and cross-dressing characters, as well as debated his sexual orientation. Despite these discussions, Bridget has become a popular character among gamers, and critics have described him as "a memorable character" in the series.

Examples of bridget in a Sentence
My little sister Bridget, for the first time ever, has decided that she wants to speak out. She's very, very private. ... Anyone who knows anything about political history could probably surmise why she's chosen to lead a very private life, but she felt inclined to say and tweet this, it's very brave of her -- she's young and she does not speak publicly.
For Pete Buttigieg to have seen the light that we always have seen in Bridget is pretty amazing, to not only hear her and listen to her, but then to remember it. I mean, Pete Buttigieg sees thousands of people.
Caroline Vandergriff/KOKH -RRB- Hoffman:
When I dropped off her photo at the Humane Society, a volunteer gasped and said, ‘Is this Bridget?’ The support was overwhelming.
It made me wonder whether someone stole her for dog fighting and either cut or tried to starve her to make her aggressive, bridget was also found wearing her distinctive pink, floral collar, and her leash, and my phone number was scratched off her tag — maybe the thief got spooked by all the media attention and dumped her on a random road.
I will not allow Bridget Anne Kelly to be the scapegoat in this case, and I look very much forward to the appeal.
