a condition in which the fingers and hands are abnormally long and slender
Arachnodactyly or achromachia, is a condition in which the fingers are abnormally long and slender in comparison to the palm of the hand. It can be present at birth or develop in later life. It is also seen in some cases that all or a few fingers can be bent backwards of 180 degrees.

An abnormal bone development that is characterized by extra long and slender hands and fingers, such that the clenched thumb extends beyond the ulnar side of the hand. Arachnodactyly can include feet and toes. Arachnodactyly has been associated with several gene mutations and syndromes.
