AirWatch is an Atlanta-based provider of mobile device management software and standalone management systems for content, applications and email. In July 2013, the company acquired Motorola Solutions MSP and extended management capabilities to ruggedized devices. In addition to making strategic acquisitions, AirWatch company leaders plan to use the investment to grow the company's workforce. According to Gartner research, about two-thirds of large companies will buy MDM products in the next four to five years as the product becomes commoditized. AirWatch's current customers include the home improvement retail chain Lowe’s, airlines United Airlines and Delta Airlines, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, automaker Toyota, pharmaceutical giant Merck, womans clothing store Maurices, and Dutch bank ING.
