Examples of Saigon in a Sentence

  1. President James E. Carter:

There’s a lot of talk about whether this is like Saigon in 1975. If we don’t get the Americans out, it could be like Tehran in 1979 where a mere 52 hostages held by the ayatollahs paralyzed America for more than a year, imagine if there were hundreds or thousands of effective American hostages that are trapped in Afghanistan because of Joe Biden’s chaotic disorganized ill-planned evacuation from that country.

  2. Bui Van Diep:

I didn't have enough money to go abroad so I went to Saigon instead.

  3. Antony Blinken:

It seems like many in President Biden’s intelligence community got President Biden Saigon moment devastatingly wrong, and I think a lot of questions will be asked later about why just weeks ago they were saying something completely different than what we’re seeing on the ground today in Afghanistan.

  4. Chris Cuomo:

Any confidence the world had in our country is now, ummm, gone, saigon, circa 1975, steroids, and former defense secretary and CIA director Leon Panetta, yeah, rightly calling it Biden’s Bay of Pigs and thanks to the actions of our derelict, low-functioning president … the absolute worst-case scenario has been playing out before our eyes.

  5. Jim Gaffigan:

It's a lifetime, right ? it's like describing the Fall of Saigon, you know, there's so many emotions. I think it's gon na be really interesting to see culturally how we all grow to understand what we went through. You know what I mean ? Like we know that there's psychological effects, we know that it's probably been harder on kids.
