rhizobiaceae
The Rhizobiaceae are a family of Gram-negative soil bacteria that fix nitrogen. They form an endosymbiotic relationship with legume roots, resulting in the formation of nodules where nitrogen fixation occurs. This relationship is beneficial to the plants, as it enriches the soil with nitrogen, thereby improving the soil fertility. Species in this family include Rhizobium, Agrobacterium, Allorhizobium, Azorhizobium, Bradyrhizobium, Mesorhizobium, amongst others.
