Mama Juana (or Mamajuana) is a spiced alcoholic beverage made by infusing a mixture of rum, red wine, and honey with tree bark and herbs. The taste is similar to port wine and the color is a deep red. It originates in the Dominican Republic.The specific herbs that make up Mamajuana were originally prepared as an herbal tea by the native Taíno; post-Columbus, alcohol was added to the recipe.

Mamajuana is a Dominican band assembled by the Dominican composer/arranger Eddi González. Mamajuana combines Afro-Caribbean and contemporary rhythms with romantic lyrics. Their self-titled debut album, released by Sony International, featured the hit singles "Mamasota" and "Sin Un Beso Suyo". After two weeks in the U.S. market, Mamajuana sold 20,000 copies. Mamajuana is the first Dominican band to ever perform in China, they had a season at the Venetian Macaua Casino; Mamajuana was nominated to Premios Lo Nuestro as best tropical group or duo in the 2002 awards, also was Revelacion del 2002 in Casandra Awards and pre-nominated to the 2004 Grammy Awards for the best Urban Album for For Sale.
