Origin: The street address of the Canadian prime minister's official residence, since 1951. Until about 1958, 24 Sussex Street (see also drive). The road was named in the early 19th century, after Prince Augustus Frederick, Duke of Sussex (1773–1843).

24 Sussex Drive is the official residence of the Prime Minister of Canada, located in the New Edinburgh neighbourhood of Ottawa, Ontario. Built between 1866 and 1868 by Joseph Merrill Currier, it has been the official home of the Canadian prime minister since 1951.
